About Us

Who We Are

Pianos are our passion. Helping you to get the right instrument for your needs is our mission since our founding in 2014.

Our centrally located South Melbourne showroom features digital, upright and grand pianos at all price points from leading brands including Kawai, Roland and Casio. Whatever your needs we will have the piano to suit.

We ship well beyond Melbourne. Digital Pianos are shipped with major freight carriers like COPE Sensitive Freight or Fedex/TNT. We regularly supply clients in Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia with acoustic pianos and have long distance professional carriers who will safely deliver your piano. Talk to our friendly and knowledgable staff about shipping to your location.

Our staff are first and foremost musicians, educators and music lovers. They understand and have a passion for pianos and are here to help you secure the right instrument for your needs.

House of Pianos is owned and managed by leading Australian pianist Stewart Kelly who has been involved with the piano industry for nearly twenty years.

Our History

Our promise to you: Personalised service with time to answer all your questions and ensure you get the right instrument for your needs.

Stewart Kelly began his love affair with the piano at the age of six when he would sit at the feet of his school music teacher and stare at the magic happening before him. He opened House of Pianos to share his love of this magnificent instrument and to ensure you get honest, expert advice in selecting the perfect instrument for your needs.

He has been in the piano industry for nearly 20 years and he personally selects every piano in our store.

If you need a piano for home, school, church, a venue or the concert stage, no one has more knowledge to ensure you get the right piano.

Outside of the piano store, Stewart is highly in demand as a teacher and performer. He is Artistic Director of Music by the Springs, a chamber music festival held each February in Hepburn Springs whichyou can read more about here. Learn more about his other performance work here.
